Marconi - Lèvinas Vocational Schools, Merano, 2013

Marconi - Lèvinas Vocational Schools

"Two schools - one building": this motto summarizes the topic of the project.
The school complex is composed of two well-defined volumes earmarked to the Marconi and Lèvinas Schools. The schools are different as regards their function, school time and the range of courses offered.
The volumes are connected by a body that accommodates public functions (gym, library, auditorium, administrative offices). These functions are allocated into "bridges" placed above the gym. The voids between the "bridges" become skylights that illuminate the gym and allow natural ventilation.
